The beginning

Back in 2017, I joined an AI startup in the scheduling industry called Clara Labs. For three years, I helped train Clara, our AI assistant, as she scheduled over 34,000 meetings. If you ever hear a random timezone fact from me, that’s why.

Working with customers

From there I moved into Customer Support, and then Customer Success. When Clara Labs was acquired by Teamable, a recruiting platform, I ended up supporting both products and managing over 40 accounts (from startups to a unicorn company that became our biggest customer!).

From CSM to Product Manager

The more I worked with customers, the more I found myself talking to our Head of Product, which turned into a PM role supporting both products once again. Eventually both companies were separately acquired, and after many years it was time for something new.

I really enjoyed three things in particular about my work at those companies:

1

Working closely with CEOs, because I realized we had a similar way of thinking.

2

How learning compounded. For example, working with customers made me a better Product Manager. After all, it is a lot easier to build products people love if you have been in the trenches with them.

3

The variety of work, and being able to take it from ideation all the way to completion.

Reflecting on those things brought me to where I am and what I do now.

Highlights

Product manager

A recruiting outreach tool that generates personalized email sequences in one click. It drove 3× higher response rates than industry benchmarks (now used by hundreds of teams).

Product manager

An employee referral platform that matches employees’ LinkedIn connections to open roles. It was adopted by multiple unicorn companies.

Product manager

The first fully automated version of Clara, the assistant I’d spent my first three years there helping train.

Enough about me.
